D1 Spec Oil Catch Tank

This is the most cheaper brand that I browse trough at car accessory shop recently. I bought this oil catch tank to be installed at my Suzuki SJ410 which consume quite a lot engine oil and too much oil deposit come out from the engine breather. May be the engine need to be overhauled.  What is oil catch tank? Oil catch tank is an optional accessories for any car which to be installed between the engine breather to the air intake. Original hose from engine is normally connected directly to air intake, thus the risk of oil vapour contaminate the air intake for combustion in the engine. Oil catch tank is used to store oil excess (vapour) from the engine, thus reducing the oil vapour to the air intake.       Well, when I inspect the build of the D1 Spec oil catch tank, no wonder it is cheaper. It is an aluminium with two inlet caps and when the caps are removed, there is no filter inside the tank. So, this tank will store deposit of excessive oil from the engine breather but will

DIY - Hyundai Inokom Atos Starter Removal

I replaced my Suzuki Jimny SJ410 starter sometime ago and it is quite easy because plenty of space in SJ410 engine bay. However, the Atos compact engine bay is really challenging for starter removal. Actually, a hard start had happened to Atos since few months and recently getting worse. Service centre diagnosed as starter problem. The battery is new but very hard to start especially after turned off the engine and need to wait for few minutes then the Atos can be started with two or three key turn. It is very annoying when turning off the engine while filling fuel at petrol station.  Wifey asked at service centre the new starter, guess how much.. RM1K++.. matai.. crazy expensive. Alternatively, have to go for third party starter and looking around Inanam, most of the car parts shops do not have Atos starter. Besides, I don't really know which shops have this starter. Finally, I asked the regular shop at Tamparuli and need to order (no stock already) with price is about RM200+

New addition to my Mengkabong Sunrise

Saturday morning, I was invited by photography friends of MA?NAP Under Ground (MUG) (now renamed as: MKH) Sabah for a photography outing at the best sunrise spot, Mengkabong bridge overlooking Mount Kinabalu. It was a quite long time I haven't visited this spot in early morning. Thanks for the invite friends. However, I don't have tripod because my camera tripod plate was missing some time ago and force me to use whatever techniques to stabilize the camera and my shaky hands with the help of the in-body Image Stabilizer in the Olympus E-3. Here are the best without tripod. Camera: Olympus E-3 + ZD ED 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 Here are some other photos of sunrise at this spot while I was crazy to go here almost every morning.

Ford Ranger @ Ford Road Show 18-22 April - City Mall, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah MALAYSIA

Today, I went to Ford Ranger Roadshow City Mall Kota Kinabalu to check for the New Ford Ranger 3.2L. The Ford road show which will end on April, 22 is not only displaying the New Ranger but also other models such as Ford Fiesta. New Ranger as explained by the sales representative is not yet available and will be launched end of June, thus anyone interested will get their Ranger after 3-6 months after June. The new Ranger is definitely looks larger than the previous models. It seems  similar or slightly bigger in dimension with the Hilux 3.0G but heavier in gross weight, 3200kg compared to 2780kg (Hilux 3.0G) and 2930kg (Triton 3.2L). Anyway, I don't know how to compare those double cabs because I never had any of them. I just like to take photos and share some of them for interested folks out there. The only I know are they looks the same, all are double cab vehicles and carry things in the rear bed, but people may compare their power, interior/exterior, warranty, service, fu
